Household Tasks
Cleaning, laundry, meal prep, and keeping your place running the way you want it. We help you do it, teach you how, or handle it for you, depending on what you need.
What This Looks Like
Your home is your space, and how it runs matters. Household support is not just about getting chores done. It is about keeping your environment the way you need it to feel comfortable and in control.
Some people want help getting on top of things. Others want to learn how to manage it independently. Some need the full support because they are focused on other priorities. We match the approach to you.
Your support worker knows how you like your kitchen, where things go, what products you use, and what your version of "clean" looks like. Because they are the same person every time, the standard stays consistent.
What We Cover
Your home, your standards. We keep it running the way you want.
-
Cleaning & Tidying
General cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, and keeping shared spaces liveable. Done to your standard, not ours.
In Practice"Kitchen's done. Benches, stovetop, floor. Spent the extra time on the bathroom since that matters more to you. If you ever want to shift things around, just say the word. Your place, your call."
-
Meal Preparation
Planning meals, shopping for ingredients, cooking, and clean-up. From full meal prep to cooking alongside you so you learn.
In Practice"That onion went quick. The stir fry smells amazing. Want to try that chicken one you saw on the video next week? Could be a good one to add to the rotation."
-
Home Organisation
Decluttering, organising storage, and setting up systems that work for how your brain operates. Especially useful for people who find clutter overwhelming.
In Practice"Spices above the stove, tins in the low cupboard, snacks in the basket. Everything in its spot. You reached for the olive oil without even looking. The system's doing its thing."
-
Laundry & Linen
Washing, drying, folding, and putting clothes away. Ironing if you want it. Bed linen changes on your schedule.
In Practice"Darks and lights sorted, load's on, and the folding is getting quicker every week. Nice to have it all done before lunch and the couch free for the afternoon."
-
Shopping & Errands
Grocery runs, pharmacy pick-ups, and the small errands that keep life ticking. Together or on your behalf.
In Practice"List in hand, budget sorted, and you spotted that the bigger box was cheaper per kilo. Good eye. We're making the money stretch further every shop."
-
Garden & Outdoor Areas
Basic garden maintenance, watering, sweeping paths, and keeping outdoor areas safe and usable.
In Practice"The basil you planted is going wild and the tomatoes are coming along. Grab the hose for those while I finish the edges. This is turning into a proper veggie patch."

Cost, Eligibility & Getting Started
The practical details on funding and how to get a worker matched to you.
What It Costs
Household tasks are funded through Core Supports in your NDIS plan. Pricing follows the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, and the amount depends on the type of support and whether it happens on a weekday, evening, or weekend.
If you do not have NDIS funding, household support is available fee-for-service. Cost is always confirmed in writing before support starts.
Am I Eligible?
Household tasks sit under Core Supports, specifically Assistance with Daily Life. If your plan includes this category, you can use it for this support.
A support coordinator can help you check. It is also available fee-for-service without a plan.
Where We Work
Get Unlocked is based in Thomastown and works across Greater Melbourne, including the northern, western, and eastern suburbs, plus parts of regional Victoria.
Support happens in your own home, on your terms.
